Can't turn down the boss - but...... he is 23 1/2 so I dont think I can get him in at 22 and 18 months!

I may start the 23 club

Restrepo' has been described as an unpolished diamond and looks to have a big future. He looked strong is some of the lumpy California stages last year.

I'd also like to add Jakub Mareczko who I suspect will be picked up by a WT team next year. He has the speed but I feel he's lacking a bit of confidence against established riders currently. A couple of good results should see him catapulted into the big time.

Why 22 as a cutoff point.

U23 exists as a category. Seems a more sensible cutoff point.

Your thread, your rules I suppose.

It's not a cut off point . Riders have to be 22

If it was under 23 it would be about 5 pages long

I was going to include him, but didn't because of the WT stipulation.
However, he needs start winning races somewhere other than the Far East, or else we night have another Andrea Guardini on our hands.

Hasn't done much for a couple of years but Matej Mohorič (Slo) won the U18 and U23 WCs in back to back years (2012/2013)

He's still only 22 and must have potential in the classics.

Although he is riding for Abu Dhabi.

Not only the most talented youngster around, a massive team player. As seen last year.

    And tonight. Celebrating Boonen's win.

I'm pretty sure this guy will win not only MSR and a pile of GT stages, but Flanders and some others too. It wouldn't surprise me if he won Liege as well.

I agree he's an incredible talent, but let's not forget that so far he has won just three World Tour races, a stage of Tirrenno and two stages in Poland. To extrapolate from that that he will win multiple monuments, including hilly ones, is a leap of faith at the moment.
